Three Police Officers are Facing Felony Charges After Beating a Man on Miami Beach! [VIDEO]

We aren’t really surprised these days if a cop abuses his authority by abusing African-Americans , however what is surprising is that three pigs police officers are now facing felony charges for using excessive force.

On July 26 inside the Royal Palm Hotel Sgt. Jose Perez , Officer Kevin Perez [no relation] and Officer Steven Serrano tackled and forced Dalonta Crudup, 24, to the crowd and began hitting him. A body cam video shows blood pouring on the floor from the victims head.

“All aspects of this July 26th police incident are taken very seriously by my prosecutors,” State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle said in a statement. “The investigation has been and will be as thorough and complete as possible since our entire community has been shocked and offended by what we have seen.”

Initially the officers with misdemeanors, however, the charges have now been upgraded to third degree felonies that include counts of felony battery and official misconduct. Prosecutors made the decision after viewing Crudup’s medical records last month.

Crudup was arrested last summer after allegedly striking an officer with his scooter. He told local news stations he didn’t know police were chasing him because he was driving with his headphones on. Upon realizing he was being chased by officers , Crudup said he ran into the hotel because he was afraid.

Upon reaching the hotel lobby Sgt. Jose Perez kicked Crudup in the head at least three times while he was still on the ground and handcuffed. Officer Kevin Perez, also kicked Crudup at least four times. Another officer then picks up Crudup and drops him on the head on the lobby floor.

Crudup was initially charged with battery and aggravated assault on a lawenforcement officer. The charges were later reduced, and he is now awaiting trial on counts of fleeing and eluding police, and reckless driving.

The new charges against the police officers will be formally brought before a circuit judge next week.
